Phoenix Direct Freight Inject
The purpose of this project was to add a newly acquired client’s delivery orders directly into our own existing private fleet in the Phoenix market. Prior to this we only delivered our own products, so this naturally created an increase in our delivery orders. My involvement in this was to route the Direct Freight Inject (DFI) orders with our existing order volume.
Action.
Prior to launch I created a forecasting visual for our transportation and warehouse managers using our data to show the direct impact DFI orders would have on our fleet. This made it a lot easier for us to collaborate.
Solution.
We were able to adjust zip codes and successfully add two routes to our fleet while maintaining our stop and on-time delivery KPIs. To prevent sharing company data, the numbers are not accurate and there is no live link.
